Last night, David asked if I could drive a car to his boss' house for him. Apparently he stayed out drinking all night prior and somehow ended up at his place around 10am with Nick's vehicle and now needed to return it. I said sure...

When i got there, this is what i had to drive across town :::

NPR is really bringing me down today. The state of CA canceled summer school to save money!? That is insane. Its terrifying that we are to that point of completely terminating public education. That is going to have such immeasurable repercussions....

GM is so disappointing. The interviews with the retirees who fondly remember the "good old days" and how proud they were to work for GM not at all regretful about dedicating their lives to the company and now their benefits are shrinking. So sad :( Like Michigan needs more crap.

When Emily peer-pressured me into reading Twilight I was reminded of what i remember being a much better series-- sort of. I couldnt remember the name or the plot or even the characters much, just that i loved it at 12 yrs old. I figured it out today!

Recently it was picked up to be made into a TV show? I bet i end up watching it and becoming obsessed.

I have been a temp at my job for almost a Yr. By law, you are not allowed to keep temps employed in the same position for more than 365 days. So my boss has been talking about hiring me on permanently-- I think this is in the bag because:

- we are overloaded with work
- someone just quit in my dept 3 wks ago
- i have a less than 1% error rate
- i process at the speed of people who have worked here for 5+yrs
- not only have i been praised for catching on faster than most, but i have also been praised for having the ability to train myself on new procedures.
- i have NEVER missed a day of work. i even showed up during a blizzard when the office was closed. and i was on time.
- i work overtime
- regional sales directors request me
- there has never been a single complaint against me

Pretty much i am the perfect employee. However, today i got a dept email welcoming two new temps! Which pretty much makes me think that the HR office has denied the my supervisors request to hire me on and has instead suggested they continue to use people who they dont have to pay salary, vacation, holiday, sick or severance pay to nor will they have to supply benefits or 401k. Awesome. Didnt i just do my time of getting NOTHING in hopes of earning it the hard way?

FUCK.

i am pissed off.

Im eating cute little pink cookies that a coworker brought in. I declare this crappy week over.

Im going to go grocery shopping tonight and pick up lots & lots of fruits for my juicer! Tomorrow I will work MORE overtime because I am attempting to reach my goals by going about it the old fashioned "nose to the grindstone" sort of way. I feel like an immigrant in the way that if i ever reach Austin my story will go something like "i was in milwaukee with nothing but a dream and determination..."

Im also going to have Emily cut my bangs tomorrow because suddenly they look like crap and keep stabbing me in the eye :( Sunday i need to get to Lush and gather up samples in hopes of finding better skin care products. I need to clean my house too.

Wow. I am completely boring without liquor.

At some point i also need to figure out what i want to play at next week's ladies night dj-athon with Emily. It will be fun. We arent pretentious DJs who try to play the most oscure thing by the most underground band that no one will know or care about beacuse that is not fun. You know whats fun?

i have been staring at that fat to thin stomach add on myspace for a few minutes. I would like to share my thought process with you.

...no way thats the same girl. it just cant be. they would use a full body if it was. obviously. do people believe this crap? so they just find a fat girl and get a picture and then find a thin[er] girl and get a picture... so who is the fat girl? does she agree? is that a type cast? is there a casting call for this? "ugly fat flabby stomach wanted for "before picture". i would hate to be a "before" model. wow. that sucks.
